In 2019, Thebe Magugu made history by becoming the first African designer to win the prestigious LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers. The LVMH Prize, awarded by the luxury goods conglomerate LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, is a highly coveted accolade in the fashion industry.
